14"x 11" oil

When I painted this, right afterwards while cleaning up I decided to scrape this painting with a palette knife. Only then did I start to see something.

thanks Lawerance,
Shane, I was thinking of using the scraping as more of a tool now in the process. Just one more element to consider.

I love it, as is. It might feel differently in person, but I think you bumped it up to another level. In school they talked about using scraping to keep a painting open.

"Scraping to keep a painting open." I like the way that sounds. Thanks Alan. =}

WOW. I love this one. There is something very eerie about it - it reminds me of the feeling I get when I see an antique photo... wondering who the person was, and disturbed by the fact that they aren't around any longer...
