Not far from my Apartment is Ballona Creek that runs through Culver City. This was from my effort outside a few days ago. Painted these one right after the other.
These quick Plein sketches are for sale at Daily Paintworks these would make a great set.

Dark and lights 24"x 24" oil on board
Urban daily life in the concrete jungle of Los Angeles. Beauty is everywhere if you widen your lens of perception.
Pit stop 8" x 10" oil on panel
Looked like this hydrant was either new or just painted, either way I had to stop and paint this little bright beast. I'm just glad no dogs came around.

Back lit 20" x 20", oil on canvas
My wife was kind enough to pose for this one. We have some frosted windows in our apartment and the light was wrapping around in such a delightful way I increased the blue pushed the saturation, while keeping the shadows simple due the complexities that confused my senses. I have this for sale straight from my store at my website. Unframed at the moment but I will ship it for free.
Little umbrellas 16" x 16" oil on canvas panel
I suppose I am on umbrella kick, that wasn't intentional, just sort of happened. You can get it here if
your interested, again free shipping.

Trying to stretch and grow as a artist, in doing so I have to try new things. I have always wanted to paint on some wood and have the wood grain poking through. I also wanted something that had a old folklore, fairytale vibe going on as well. Therefore I submit to you my latest piece. Rather large for a experimental piece. So fun to do.
Love the demon
36" x 36" oil on wood panel
Everyone has their own shadows. And some people call those shadows, demons. Denial, separation, and projection are the main signs of such hauntings. One must befriend and love their own demons then one finds those demons are there to show you how distorted your beliefs really are.
I am selling prints and some other goodies at society 6 of this piece.
But if you want the real deal original contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

One of the most amazing days where everything just falls into place an flow together unhinged. On such a day the sky was unreal and made the cement turn the most amazing colors. this painting is a view of the
Ballona creek that runs through Culver city not too far from home.
